Sales Manager (Advertising & Marketing)

Responsibilities:

  • Own client accounts and consult clients on best advertising & media practices relevant to their business, as well as insights on the local & regional media landscapes
  • Lead client meetings, pitches and negotiations
  • An advocate of consultative selling strategies focused on print, digital, content, event, integrated solutions and idea-driven activations with the goal of always maximizing department revenues
  • Focus on his/her individual digital direct, premium programmatic revenues from Hong Kong based advertisers across multiple categories, Education (International Schools, Kindergarten, EdTech), and Technology
  • Ensure that sales targets and objectives are consistently achieved
  • Manage professional pre-sales and sales services on all accounts, and collaborate with multi-functional teams to promote existing products and develop new products
  • Build strong relationships with senior decision makers across brands and agencies by demonstrating a thorough understanding of their business and objectives

Requirements

  • Degree holder in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related disciplines with 5-8 years relevant experience in print & digital advertising sales, marketing or account servicing experience, within a premium publisher or a media agency
  • 5+ years experiences in digital media, experience in selling a publisher’s premium programmatic solutions will be a plus
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, aggressive and confident, with proven track record of generating significant revenue and achieving targets
  • Able to work under pressure, strong in planning, well organized, and able to prioritize effectively
  • Proven track record in working well in a team members, and facilitate problem solving and collaboration across other teams and departments
  • Has strong connections with senior decision makers within brands and agencies working on Education (specifically international schools, kindergartens, edTech), and Technology accounts (SaaS based companies)
  • Has a good understanding of the above categories’ landscape and trends
  • Possess a strong understanding of local and regional media landscapes
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Excellent interpersonal skills and possess the ability to lead and inspire a team, solve problems, and collaborate with multi-functional units
  • Strong in handling internal and external presentations in both English, and Cantonese. Mandarin will be a plus
  • Proficient in PC applications
